Liverpool will battle Newcastle for English football's first major trophy of the season in the 2025 Carabao Cup final this weekend.
The Premier League giants will lock horns for the third time this campaign at Wembley, but now a major honour is on the line.
The Reds are both the current and record holders of the EFL Cup, having beaten Chelsea on penalties last year to win their tenth crown.
Arne Slot's men will be favourites having recently beaten the Magpies 2-0 to stretch their lead at the top of the Premier League.
However, Eddie Howe's side will push to the maximum to deliver the club's first domestic trophy since lifting the FA Cup back in 1955.
Liverpool vs Newcastle: Kick-off time

It will take place at Wembley Stadium and will revert back to the usual kick-off time of 4:30pm.
Last year, Liverpool's win over Chelsea was moved forward to kick-off at 3pm on public order grounds with police fears over fan clashes.
However, with no such rivalry between the Reds and their northern neighbours Newcastle, the game has reverted back to a later time.
The date of the 2025 showpiece is also much later than previous years, with the Carabao Cup final typically played in February.

It coincides with the gameweek 29 in the Premier League, with finalists Liverpool and Newcastle having their fixtures rescheduled.
Liverpool have already played out a 2-2 draw with Aston Villa, while the Magpies will host Crystal Palace on Wednesday, 16th April.
