Liverpool booked their spot in the Carabao Cup final in emphatic fashion following a dominant 4-0 win over Tottenham.
Spurs had headed to Anfield with a narrow 1-0 lead after Lucas Bergvall's controversial winning goal in north London last month.
The defeat was just one of three Liverpool have endured across all competitions under Arne Slot this season.
However, the Reds secured their revenge in style from minute one, with the visitors failing to even have a single shot on target.
Goals from Cody Gakpo, Mohamed Salah, Dominik Szoboszlai, and Virgil van Dijk set up a Wembley final against Newcastle.

More from Van Dijk
The Liverpool captain to Sky Sports: "We needed a complete performance. At half-time I think we could get a level up with intensity.
“But to win here like we did tonight is great for the team and the club. Now we focus on the FA Cup.
"If you bring intensity to the game, anybody can make mistakes - a beautiful win today.
"Nights like this where there’s a lot at stake, we didn’t take it for granted - we all wanted to go there [Wembley] again with the fans, and it was a great team performance.”
On Mo Salah: “No goalkeeper would have saved that. Clinical."
On scoring: "It is always a proud moment to be on the scoresheet. There is a lot of work behind the screen to be more clinical, and it’s never easy, but today I could finally score a goal again.”
On form and league position: “We are in February now, and we cannot complain about the situation we are in, but we should not take any of that for granted and not be easy on each other.
“I don’t see that happening as I will be on top of it.
“It is about staying calm and working our socks off and focusing on ourselves.”
On his Liverpool future: "What the future brings I have no idea. Anybody who says they know it - they are wrong."

Still on Red alert
Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk speaking to ITV: "We did very well. I am proud of the boys and now we look forward to the FA Cup.
"[Cody] Gakpo is doing very well, we need him in the best shape of his life but he is doing so well.
"Everyone has to contribute scoring goals. We will face a very intense Newcastle. When the time is right we will prepare well.
"I'm always proud to be leading out the boys, but these occasions are special… when the time is there, we will be ready."

Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou to Sky Sports: "I guess so [with Liverpool being full strength and Spurs having injuries], but ultimately Liverpool fully deserved the victory tonight.
"They were the better team. We just weren't able to get a grip in any part of the game defensively or with the ball. They were too good for us.
"We allowed them to get into the game, we weren't aggressive as we needed to be.
"Again, we didn't start the game off on the right foot, it allowed them to get comfortable. Once they got comfortable, it was difficult for us to get some control back.
"We definitely needed to be braver with and without the ball. It's easier said than done in a place like this.
"I guess it's a very good Liverpool team in a good spell of form and very settled. It's what we needed to do and we didn't do it.
"We didn't have a great first half and were very much in the game. We knew the first 15 to 20 minutes of the second half, we needed to keep it solid in terms of our decision-making.
"To give them a second goal was disappointing. But we never got to grips with any part of the game today. They were too good for us."
Credit: Getty Did he feel lonely on the touchline? "It's not an emotion I feel.
"I'm disappointed we weren't able to give a better account of ourselves and get to a final.
"The players are very disappointed. We had a great opportunity and unfortunately we didn't grab it.
"There's no choice, you have to [keep going]. There's plenty to play for for us, we have a good game against Villa on Sunday, that's where our focus goes."
On players' reaction: "Very disappointed. We had a great opportunity, but unfortunately we didn’t grab it."

Jamie Carragher told Sky Sports: "It was never in doubt before the game. It's Tottenham!
"When did Tottenham ever win a big game? When did Tottenham ever go anywhere and surprise you and win against the odds?
"The odds were massively in favour of Liverpool. They are at home at Anfield, they are the best team in the country and possibly in Europe right now.
"It is not just this Spurs team. They never shock you and do something out of the ordinary.
"I'm trying to remember the last big game they won: it was probably that semi-final against Ajax in the Champions League. I was in the stadium that night and I don't want to take it away from Tottenham, but they were very lucky! They were battered for most of the game, it was a freak and they got two goals in the last minute.
"Whenever they go into a big game as a club, nobody ever believes they're going to win.
"That's not me as a Liverpool fan, those Tottenham fans there tonight - not one of them believed they were going to win and to go Wembley! They just won't."

Liverpool's player of the match Cody Gakpo told Sky Sports: "I think the stadium helped a lot. We knew we had to come back. We went out there and tried to bring as much chances as possible. With the quality we have, we know we are going to get chances.
"It was a great win.
"They [fans] helped us a lot and it gives us extra energy. We are very happy with these fans.
"We are on the right track, but we have to take it game-by-game. Today it was a good job done - we are in one final, but we have a lot to play for.
"We are in a good flow at the moment, but we have to keep going. You know how football goes and it's about consistency. We have to keep the momentum."
Credit: Getty 'Can't remember a team go down with less of a fight'
Jamie Redknapp told Sky Sports: "I can't remember in my lifetime a team go down with less of a fight than Tottenham did today.
"Not having any shot on target in a semi-final second leg when trying to change the course of your history.
"I feel sorry for those players. I think Djed Spence played 14 different positions tonight. I've never seen anything like it. You have young players, you're meant to protect them.
"Archie Gray and Bergvall, they're young men and trying their best. But I'm looking at the experienced players today to lead and try and set the tempo. They didn't do that one bit.
"There's been some lows - Palace, Ipswich and Everton this season. But when you look at that today, the scoreline? Just horrendous."

80' - SPURS ARE FALLING APART!!!
It was a header from a corner that Van Dijk scored the winner in last year's Carabao Cup final.
He's now just put the gloss on a match which ensures his side will be at Wembley once again next month.
It's so poor defensively from the visitors as a simple delivery to the six-yard box leaves Kinsky stranded.
Van Dijk bullies new boy Danso to reach the ball and find the back of the net.
Liverpool have now scored 10 goals against Tottenham in all competitions this season, following the 6-3 win in December.
That is the most goals an English side have netted versus Spurs in a season since Manchester City in 2013-14 (11).
Liverpool 3-0 Tottenham (3-1 agg)
78' - SON RATTLES THE CROSSBAR!
A rare sign of life from the Spurs captain as he drills a powerful effort from a tight angle that smacks the frame of the goal.
It seems too little too late but perhaps that might have given the visitors something to cling onto for the final knocking.
As it is, the momentum has been sucked out for the visitors!
GOAL!! Liverpool 3-0 Tottenham (3-1 agg)
75' - DOMINIK SZOBOSZLAI FINISHES IT!
Alexis Mac Allister on as a substitute is the architect from deep as darts through the lines.
But it's made by Conor Bradley who leaves Archie Gray having to stay wide to cover Mohamed Salah with a run in between the lines.
Bradley collects from Mac Allister and squares it for the arriving Szoboszlai, who takes one touch and slots home a third.
Liverpool 2-0 Tottenham (2-1 agg)
74' - RYAN GRAVENBERCH HITS THE POST!
Another warning sign for Spurs as the Dutchman takes a fizzing shot from the edge of the box that bends away from Kinsky.
It was always curling away from the goal however and duly rattles the outside of the woodwork before trickling away.
Liverpool 2-0 Tottenham (2-1 agg)
72' - Darwin Nunez and Curtis Jones are the two players withdrawn by Arne Slot as Alexis Mac Allister and Diogo Jota enter the action.
Jota's comeback means just Trent Alexander-Arnold is in the treatment room for Liverpool, with Alisson Becker rested tonight.
In contrast, Spurs have been utterly decimated by injuries - what would this second leg have looked like had they had all their options?
Liverpool 2-0 Tottenham (2-1 agg)
69' - Djed Spence flashes a rare shot wide for Spurs but the home side quickly respond by winning another corner down the other end.
This time Ibrahima Konate connects with the delivery but under pressure from Rodrigo Bentancur can't keep it down.
Meanwhile, Arne Slot is readying a double change - Alexis Mac Allister and Diogo Jota are both waiting to come on.
Liverpool 2-0 Tottenham (2-1 agg)
63' - CODY GAKPO HITS THE POST!
The Dutchman is slipped through on the left side of the six-yard area and Darwin Nunez has a tap-in if the ball is played square.
Gakpo goes alone in search of his second of the evening but his powerful effort goes across Kinsky and smacks the outside of the post.
Kinsky got something on it but it's not spotted by the officials as the ball trickles out of play.
Liverpool 2-0 Tottenham (2-1 agg)
61' - So close to three!
First, Curtis Jones feeds Cody Gakpo down the left and the latter's cross is met by Dominik Szoboszlai unmarked in the box.
However, the Hungarian's header is straight at Kinsky.
Liverpool quickly win it back from the restart and attack from the opposite flank as Mohamed Salah slips a pass inside.
Conor Bradley runs onto it towards the byline and fires a cutback that Darwin Nunez reacts first-time but can only find the side netting.
Liverpool 2-0 Tottenham (2-1 agg)
58' - Ange Postecoglou turns to his bench for the first time, as he desperately seeks a way to stop this game going away from him.
Lucas Bergvall and Pedro Porro replace Pape Sarr and Yves Bissouma.
Poor Archie Gray is shifted from right-back to left-back, and is still waiting for a chance to play in his proper midfield position.
Liverpool 2-0 Tottenham (2-1 agg)
55' - First sight of Mathys Tel as he hits a shot from a tight angle after running onto Dejan Kulusevski's pass.
He gees up the travelling Spurs faithful behind the goal as his effort is deflected behind for a corner which comes to nothing.
Liverpool 2-0 Tottenham (2-1 agg)
53' - Liverpool have won more penalties than any other Premier League side in all competitions this season (10).
Mohamed Salah has now scored more goals in 34 appearances this season (26) than across 44 outings last season (25).
Salah has only scored more goals for Liverpool against Manchester United (16) than Tottenham Hotspur (13 - level with West Ham).
GOAL!! Liverpool 2-0 Tottenham (2-1 agg)
51' - MOHAMED SALAH BURIES IT!
No fuss from the Reds' Egyptian king as does his trademark jinking run-up and sends Antonín Kinsky the wrong way.
He brilliantly finds the far top corner with a postage-stamp effort.
Liverpool double their lead on the night, but crucially, are now winning on aggregate!
